MEET ALEX
Hi my name is Alex and I'm the owner of Cake Station. The business was born out of wanting to merge together my passion for baking and my sister's love of playing Dungeons & Dragons.
In the summer of 2023 we were holidaying in Poland and chatting about how there aren't many places back home where you can meet up with friends and family to enjoy some good homemade food and play board games. I had a general feeling after lockdown that we haven't regained the togetherness we had before and something was missing after we all depended on our phones and computers to interact.
I'd like to bring back good old fashioned family values and traditions, gaining new friends as well as meeting up with old ones. When designing the theme for the cafe I took inspiration from the monopoly board, particularly the train stations, as we are located on station street and my husband is a train driver.
